Week 4 - 13/09/22

Hi everyone,

Doesn't it feel really Autumnal this week? These sunny but more chilly days are a sign of the impending shorter days and the lead up to Winter. I definitely need to change my thin, summer jacket for one that is warmer for when I am on lunchtime duty! I have now settled in to my new work role and I am finding it extremely rewarding. Being there for someone and supporting them when things get tough led me to my choice for this week's blog theme of love.

This week's poem is dedicated to my partner. It was written as a "date night" challenge in around 5 minutes (and after several glasses of wine!). I have found that often, those song lyrics and poems that are written spontaneously and in a short time turn out to be my favourites. My partner is an amazing person and has been there for me and my children during some pretty catastrophic events and although the last year has pushed us almost to breaking point, we have come through it all stronger. I am very thankful to have him in my life.
