Week 2 - 30/08/22

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well.

This week has been fun, with some very rare child-free time and therefore time to enjoy some relaxation and days out without having small people to cater for. I have been taking some time to reflect on the Summer holidays (I am lucky to get the same time off as the children as I work in a school) and how quickly they have gone. There is also the impending prospect of returning to work in a few days with the accompanying excitement and anxiety of starting my new role as a SEN learning assistant. I know that I am capable of doing a good job, but it is the age-old feelings of "what if I can't do it?" rearing their annoying heads.

I have written a poem to share with you this week which was composed whilst sitting in my favourite spot on the sofa, enjoying a rare moment of complete absence of any human produced noise in the house. Find yourself a quiet spot, have a read and let me know what you think.
