Week 10 - 05/11/22
Hi everyone!
I must begin by apologising for the lack of a blog last week. I decided to have a week off due to various reasons, one of which was my Open University assignment which I am happy to say that I finished and submitted on time, phew! Now it's just a matter of waiting for my grade from my tutor, fingers crossed!
We are coming to the end of the two week half term break so next week brings a return to work for me. It has been so lovely to have some time off and I was even able to have a child-free few days which were very enjoyable. Don't get me wrong- I love my children dearly but sometimes its good to have a short break from parenting, just to chill and have some adult only time.
We are now into November and I am readying many layers of clothing ready to attend this years bonfire and firework event this evening. We are very lucky here to have a very impressive yearly display which is well worth getting a bit chilly (and possibly soggy this year!) for.
Last night I performed as part of my duo for a local gig. This was the first full gig that I have performed for many months and I was actually pretty terrified about singing in front of a crowd, especially a local one full of people I know. I ended up thoroughly enjoying myself and thankfully my voice managed to hold out for the duration, something I had been worried about beforehand. Now that that hurdle has been overcome, I feel more motivated to perform more. We just need to get some bookings!
This week's poem is another dedication to my special person. He surprised me with a proposal during a gig that his band were playing at last weekend. He really is an awesome human being and I am really looking forward to becoming his Mrs in the near future and having lots of fun and adventures together.
I hope you enjoy this week's poem and feel free to comment below.
Have a great week
Kathy
Your Love
Being loved by you
Feels so good
Like the first sun of Spring
Warm on my skin
You brought me back from the edge
When all was lost and dark
Your arms around me.
A devotion that radiates from within
I have a smile reserved only for you
And it will always be yours
I wish you knew how good it feels
To be loved by you.
